JoEllen Schilke asked us to do a show in her cafe. Since this was a coffee shop art show, The Bluelucy Boyz revived an oldie but goodie - Half n' Half. I have to say that JoEllen really created something special at the globe. It was a place you could get delicious treats, play a board game with friends, but most of all it was a safe space for all the kids that maybe didn't have a place to go. It was real, unpretentious and something cafes all over the US try and replicate but never come close. Sadly, like many independent shops in St Pete it's no longer there, replaced with condos and chuckleheads.
